NEW REVOLUTION IN MOBILE PHONES-3G
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) defined the third generation (3G) of mobile telephony standards – IMT-2000 – to facilitate growth, increase bandwidth, and support more diverse applications. For example, GSM (the current most popular cellular phone standard) could deliver not only voice, but also circuit-switched data at download rates up to 14.4 kbps. But to support mobile multimedia applications, 3G had to deliver packet-switched data with better spectral efficiency, at far greater bandwidths.
Data rates
ITU has not provided a clear definition of the data rate users can expect from 3G equipment or providers. Thus users sold 3G service may not be able to point to a standard and say that the rates it specifies are not being met. While stating in commentary that "it is expected that IMT-2000 will provide higher transmission rates: a minimum data rate of 2 Mbit/s for stationary or walking users, and 348 kbit/s in a moving vehicle,"[13] the ITU does not actually clearly specify minimum or average rates or what modes of the interfaces qualify as 3G, so various rates are sold as 3G intended to meet customers expectations of broadband data.
Security
3G networks offer a greater degree of security than 2G predecessors. By allowing the UE (User Equipment) to authenticate the network it is attaching to, the user can be sure the network is the intended one and not an impersonator. 3G networks use the KASUMI block crypto instead of the older A5/1 stream cipher. However, a number of serious weaknesses in the KASUMI cipher have been identified .
In addition to the 3G network infrastructure security, end-to-end security is offered when application frameworks such as IMS are accessed, although this is not strictly a 3G property.
Applications
The bandwidth and location information available to 3G devices gives rise to applications not previously available to mobile phone users. Some of the applications are:
* Mobile TV - a provider redirects a TV channel directly to the subscriber's phone where it can be watched.
* Video on demand - a provider sends a movie to the subscriber's phone.
* Video conferencing - subscribers can see as well as talk to each other.
* Tele-medicine - a medical provider monitors or provides advice to the potentially isolated subscriber.
* Location-based services - a provider sends localized weather or traffic conditions to the phone, or the phone allows the subscriber to find nearby businesses or friends.
Evolution towards 4G
Both 3GPP and 3GPP2 are currently working on further extensions to 3G standards, named Long Term Evolution and Ultra Mobile Broadband, respectively. Being based on an all-IP network infrastructure and using advanced wireless technologies such as MIMO, these specifications already display features characteristic for IMT-Advanced (4G), the successor of 3G. However, falling short of the bandwidth requirements for 4G (which is 1 Gbit/s for stationary and 100 Mbit/s for mobile operation), these standards are classified as 3.9G or Pre-4G.
3GPP plans to meet the 4G goals with LTE Advanced, whereas Qualcomm has halted development of UMB in favour of the LTE family.[5]
On 14 December 2009, Telia Sonera announced in an official press release that "We are very proud to be the first operator in the world to offer our customers 4G services."[15] With the launch of their LTE network, initially they are offering pre-4G (or beyond 3G) services in Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo, Norway.
GOOGLE PHONES
The Google GSM smart phone will also have a 5-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi connectivity. According to mobile industry bloggers, Google may sell the smart phone unlocked, thus not locking buyers in long-term contracts with carriers.
The Google briefing is being held just two days ahead of the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas where global giants like Sony and Microsoft unveil their products for the next year.
The Google-branded device will use its latest Android operating system called Anrdoid 2.1.
The new smart phone, Nexus One, may be unveiled Jan 5 when the internet search engine giant holds a media briefing about its smart phone business at its Mountainview headquarters in California.

NEW CHROME OS
Rumours are rife ever since the search magnet Google announced its plans to launch an Operating System that would challenge the market monopoly of Microsoft’s Windows. If reports are to be believed, Google has made tremendous improvement in the OS development and may even announce the launch early than expected. As per the earlier announcement, the Chrome OS would hit the market in 2010. According to reports, Google is indeed working hard on the Chrome OS and has plans to hold a special event at its headquarters in Montain View in the US on Thursday. But the browsing community has nothing much to cheer about the same.
The Chrome OS will not be rolling out of the aegis of Google this year. However, in the special event charted on Thursday, Google is expected to give out some technical background information and show off some demonstrations. A complete over view of the OS is expected to be unveiled at the event. However, unconfirmed reports say that Google might release part of Chrome OS this week. If that is the case, we can expect the launch of Google Chrome OS early next year. It was in July this year that Google first announced its plans for OS. Ever since the announcement, each bit of information on the progress of the Google Chrome OS development is being lapped up by tech-enthusiasts.
Google today unveiled more details of Chrome OS, a lightweight, browser-based operating system for netbooks.
With a strong focus on speed, the Chrome OS promises nearly instant boot times of about 7 seconds for users to login to their computers.
“We want Google Chrome OS to be blazingly fast … to boot up like a TV,” said Sundar Pichai, vice president of product management for Google.
The first Chrome OS netbooks will be available in late 2010, Pichai said. It will not be available as a download to run and install. Instead, Chrome OS is only shipping on specific hardware from manufacturers Google has partnered with. That means if you want Chrome OS, you’ll have to purchase a Chrome OS device.
Google is currently working with unnamed computer manufacturers to define specifications for these computers, which Pichai said will include larger netbook-style computers with full-size keyboards, large trackpads and large displays.
Chrome OS netbooks will not have traditional hard disk drives — they will rely on non-volatile flash memory and internet-based storage for saving all of your data.
All the applications will be web-based, meaning users won’t have to install apps, manage updates or even backup their data. All data will be stored in the cloud, and users won’t even have to bother with anti-virus software: Google claims it will monitor code to prevent malicious activity in Chrome OS web apps.
“Chrome OS is a totally rethought computer that will let you focus on the internet, so you can stop worrying about your computer,” according to a Google promotional video shown at the event, held at the Google campus in Mountain View, California.
As part of its announcement today, Pichai said that Google would be releasing all of the operating system’s code and design documents to the public.
Introduced in July, Chrome OS is a Linux-based, open-source operating system centered on Google’s Chrome browser. Applications will run exclusively inside the browser, Google said Thursday.
“As of today, the code will be fully open, which means Google developers will be working on the same tree as open developers,” said Pichai.
The OS’s focus on design is consistent with the company’s stance that the future is in the web. In July, Vic Gundotra, Google’s engineering vice president and developer evangelist, spoke on a panel about app stores, in which he said native apps (such as those available for the iPhone) would be obsolete in the future, and that the web will “become the platform that matters.”
“Every capability you want today, in the future it will be written as a web application,” Pichai said Thursday.
Netbooks — lightweight, low-powered subnotebooks — were the surprise hit of 2008 and 2009. However, with the growth of netbook sales slowing — and the prices of some full-powered notebooks dropping below $400 — the continued viability of the netbook sector is an open question.
Though netbook shipments are falling below manufacturers’ expectations, the inexpensive, low-powered devices appear to still be selling well. Pichai cited research figures from ABI research indicating that 35 million netbooks shipped in 2009, more than twice the number sold in 2008.
Manufacturers have yet to announce pricing on netbooks shipping with Chrome OS, but Google expects the cost to be about the same as current netbooks. On average, netbooks cost between $300 and $500.
Videos demonstrating Chrome OS’s user interface, security, fast boot and other features are below the jump.
Google is starting to respond to questions about the just announced Chrome operating system. In a short FAQ today they talked about cost and initial partners.
First of all, the software will be free, which was an easy assumption to make since it will be open source. Like Android, Google will not charge users or device manufacturers to use the Chrome OS.
Yesterday Google said they were already working with device manufacturers to roll out Chrome OS devices late next year. Today they announced at least some of those partners: Acer, Adobe, ASUS, Freescale, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments.
2012- whether the world ends?
problems by 2012 are told as
1)planet hibru coming to earth
2)end of mayan's calender.
experts say earth will end by 2012.
it is a very much practical now that "if it has a birth, it should definitely have a death.
whether the death process of earth begins by 2012 or whether the earth is completely destroyed.
god is the cretor and he is the one who only knows the correct dates.
before going to god, we can just examine scientists saying:
Reason one: Mayan calendar
Reason two: Sun storms
Reason three: The atom smasher
now we go with quran(islam's holy book)
I am simply giving here some posts found by aliadams
1. Prime numbers are really complex and there is a million dollar prize to whoever cracks them, see Riemann Hypothesis.
2. Quran starts with a chapter called The Key that is built upon prime numbers, 7 verses, 29 words and 139 letters.
3. Chapter 55 (The Merciful) has 31 repetitions of the verse:
"فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"
"What other bounties of your Sustainer do you still belie?"
4. The sum of the numbers of these 31 repetitions is 1433.
5. We are now in the 1430H according to the accurate Islamic Calendar.
6. The Hijri calendar is based on lunar months.
7. A lunar year has 354 or 355 days.
8. Chapter 55 (The Merciful) has 355 words.
9. The year 1433H had 355 days.
10. Mapping words to days we get 31 4-day periods between 7th January and 7th November 2012 mapping to the 4-word verse of "فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ".
It is therefore expected that a four-day event that will repeat 31 times (Quran 44:10, 44:15) before a big event (Quran 44:16) takes place on perhaps 21 December 2012 as predicted by Western researchers using the astronomically accurate Mayan Calendar:
Quran 44:10“فَٱرْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِى ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِدُخَانٍۢمُّبِينٍ”
“Look out for a day when the sky brings clarifying smoke.”
“We are lifting the punishment a little but you will be back.”
“On a day when we seize you with a mighty onslaught: We are taking revenge.”
The word “مُنتَقِمُونَ” or “taking revenge” can be seen as revenge for those who belie God’s signs and bounties (ءَالَآءِ).
And Allah knows best.
You may be thinking what is this.I will explain.
The Merciful Verse
Thanks to Allah, I have found an oft-repeated verse in Quran chapter 55: The Merciful (الرحمن) that reads:
“What other bounties of your Sustainer do you still belie?” “فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ”
A quick count of the number of repetitions of this verse shows that it is repeated 31 times and summing up the verse numbers of these repetitions produced a prime with a prime digit sum as follows:
13+16+18+21+23+25+28+30+32+34+36+38+40+42+45+47+49 +51+53+55+57+59+61+63+65+67+69+71+73+75+77 = 1433 is prime and its digit sum 1+4+3+3 = 11 is prime too.
This new magical prime proved to be the first valuable finding of this research for it has been confirmed to point to the Hijri year 1433AH (or 2012AD) by none other than Allah (swt) for He made the number of words of this chapter including BismAllah (355) to be the same as the number of days in the year 1433AH that has the following number of days in each month:
30+29+30+30+29+30+30+29+30+29+30+29 = 355 days.
That was the hard part, the easy part was mapping each word of the Merciful chapter to its corresponding day in the year 1433AH to produce the following table shows that the first occurrence of this verse will start on 7th January 2012 and the last occurrence will end on 7th November 2012:

Predictions
This research predicts that a four-day event will repeat itself (Quran 44:10, 44:15) 31 times before a big event (Quran 44:16) takes place on 21 December 2012 as predicted by Western researchers using the astronomically accurate Mayan Calendar:
Quran 44:10 “فَٱرْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِى ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِدُخَانٍۢ مُّبِينٍ”
“Look out for a day when the sky brings clarifying smoke.”
“We are lifting the punishment a little but you will be back.”
“On a day when we seize you with a mighty onslaught: We are taking revenge.”
The word “مُنتَقِمُونَ” or “taking revenge” can be seen as revenge for those who belie God’s signs and bounties (ءَالَآءِ).
Speculations
Further research has revealed an even later date from the same Merciful verse by joining its 31 repeated verse numbers right-to-left (Arabic direction) to produce a 62-digit number that has only two factors:
77757371696765636159575553514947454240383634323028 252321181613 =
11108195956680805165653650502135350605769090617575 464617311659 * 7
This new 64-digit prime number is then split into new 31 2-digit numbers that are summed up to yield yet another prime Hijri year with a prime digit sum as follows:
11+10+81+95+95+66+80+80+51+65+65+36+50+50+21+35+35 +06+05+76+90+90+61+75+75+46+46+17+31+16+59 = 1619 with digit sum 1+6+1+9 = 17.
1619AH maps to 2192AD and the 180-year gap between 2012 and 2192 shows that 2012 will not be the End of the World but hopefully a Spiritual Awakening by all humanity worldwide.
Future generations should have high hope for the year 1619AH or 2192AD as yet another correction to the course of human history because only Allah decides when the End will come and can bring it anytime at the blink of an eye or even nearer:
Quran 16:77
“وَلِلَّهِ غَيْبُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَآ أَمْرُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ إِلَّا كَلَمْحِ ٱلْبَصَرِ أَوْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌ“
“To Allah belongs the Unseen of heavens and earth and The Hour can come at the blink of an eye, or even nearer. Truly! Allah is capable of doing anything.”
Quran is Alive
All of these findings can be changed and forgotten before they ever occur for the Quran is not just a normal book, but literally a living book as per
Quran 2:106:
"ما ننسخ من ءاية أو ننسها نأت بخير منها أو مثلها ألم تعلم أن الله على كل شىء قدير"
"Any verse (sign or revelation) that We edit or cause to be forgotten, We bring a better one or similar to it. Don't you know that Allah is capable of doing anything?"
This verse is so unimaginable that Allah the Almighty duly emphasizes its likelihood with the "Don't you know that Allah is capable of doing anything!" reminder and not the common “And Allah is capable of doing anything” factual statement.
Indeed Allah not only “can” but “does” change the verses of the Quran at will, both on paper (including read only media like CD-ROM) and deep inside our minds for better or similar versions that exhibit miracles relevant to each time and no human, jinn, or angel would ever be aware of the change with all copies of the Quran updated instantly and keeps the text sacred at all times as promised in Quran 15:9:
"إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا ٱلذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ"
"It is We who have sent down the Message and it is We who guard it from corruption.
It is very difficult to believe that no one thus far has counted the number of verses, words and letters of chapter The Key and didn’t instantly think of prime numbers! It could be that previous text did not produce primes and only recently this numerical miracle was added to warn us of the approaching events of 2012.
i think you may be understanding the consequences.
still i don't believe 2012 is the end.
